Additional Notes
– This pillow is worked in the round with an opening on each end. I used a pillow insert and waited until the very end to seam both sides around the insert. Just because I choose this method, there’s no reason you can’t close up the first end after you’ve crocheted a few rows.
Finished Size
Length = 16″
Height = 12″
Gauge
4″ x 4″ square = 9 HDC x 6 rows
Stitch Key
SL ST – Slip Stitch
HDC – Half Double Crochet
Supplies
– One Skein Bernat Blanket Yarn in Country Blue
– N (10mm) Hook
– 12″ x 16″ Pillow Insert (or Polyfill)
– Tapestry Needle
– Scissors
Instructions
Chain 48.
Join to first stitch with sl st (forming a large ring – make sure not to twist).
Round 1: Chain 1. HDC around. Join to chain 1 with sl st. (48)
Repeat round 1 for a total of 22 rounds.
Fasten off leaving long tail.
Using tail, seam one side of pillow closed.
Fill with pillow form or polyfill.
Seam closed other side of pillow.
